Anna Rohlman
Mrs. Anna Hausworth Rohlman, 78, East Wenatchee, a resident of Douglas County for many years, died in a local hospital Thursday following an extended illness.
Born in Hancock, Mi., Nov. 22, 1881. Mrs. Rohlman spent her childhood and attended school there. She married S. J. Rohlman in Hancock Aug. 29, 1900. In 1910 they came west to Spokane, later moving to Ephrata where they engaged in farming. In 1916 they moved to Palisades where they resided until moving to East Wenatchee in 1954.
Surviving are here husband, at home; four sons, Harold Rohlman, Wenatchee, Edward J. Rohlman, Seattle, LeRoy and Floyd Rohlman, both of East Wenatchee; six daughters, Mrs. Lorenca Fenton, National City, Ca., Mrs. C. E. Bowers, Electric City, Mrs. Jess Bell, East Wenatchee, Mrs. Frank Bower, Pasco, Mrs. Al Stevens, Anchorage, Ak., and Mrs. Al Johnson, Ephrata; 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Jones and Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Observations Mom gave about Grandma Rohlman:
Grandma Rohlman made bloomers out of feed sacks. They would be washed so often that the name, Peach Blossum would finally come off. They put cardboard in their shoes to cover up the holes in the bottom. She had no washing machine until the last child, Lillian was out of diapers. All of the clothes were washed by hand.
Aunt Helen was born in Great Falls, Montana; came to Spokane when she was about 6. Grandma said if the kids didn't mind, she would give them to the Indians. That scared them.
Grandpa would pretend to be St. Nick and throw candy in the door to the kids. They thought it was a priest.
Grandpa was cooking bacon and a coyote came in the window. He took a piece of wood and hit it over the head and killed it. There were lots of hungry coyotes around.
