After she married Guy Carroll, she married Al Stevens. They divorced and then she married Dan Stoner. He has also passed away. She had no children. Her current significant other is Orley ? He died in 1999 in Yakima.

Remembrances of Aunt Marie--
The horses her parents had when she was a child in Palisades were named Queen and Babe. The picture of all the kids on the horse, Queen shows 7 of them on her back. Babe was a grey mare, we used to give apples to; we would grab her mane and pull ourselves up on her to ride. For fun as kids, we would build houses in the rocks, play with stick horses, and liked to dance with stick people. We would make cardboard faces and dress them up in our clothes.
Some the places we lived-- In Spokane, where Dad drove a beer truck pulled by horses. In Moses Lake we gleaned potato fields while Dad worked. We moved to Mae Hiawatha in 1914. Grandma and Grandpa Hoffman had Soap Lake Baths, a rooming house that had mud baths. Grandpa ate beer, cheese and crackers every day. Grandpa died and was buried in Ephrata. Grandma moved back to Michigan.

When we moved to Palisades, Mom and Dad owned the Grand Orchards. Our first house was at an alfalfa ranch in upper Palisades, past R. L. Davis' place. There was a fire in the two story house. I went to school in Palisades through the eighth grade. I stayed at Chauncy and Anna Bowers in Wenatchee and did house cleaning for my room and board while going to Wenatchee High School. After two years I quit school. I married Guy Carroll in 1932.

One time Dad and Slim Taylor were drinking. Dad bet Slim he couldn't chin himself on the door jam. He thought Slim might make it, so he hit him with his slipper and knocked him out. Mom would take the hens from where they were roosting; the next day she would wring their necks, pluck them and we would have them for dinner that day.

Jerry and Mom drove to Michigan to get a new car. Then we all drove to California. Ed got a job cleaning lettuce. Alice worked in the oranges. We went to Calexico, Ca., stayed two days and went back home.
Mae Pruitt Rohlman(Harold's wife) worked in a restaurant in Quincy. When she died, she'd already been divorced.

After marrying Guy Carroll, we moved to Seattle, where I worked for Boeing for five years. I moved to Port Angeles and worked at Penneys. Next move was to Anchorage, Alaska where I having been divorced from Guy, married Al Stevens. I managed a clothing store for nineteen years. The earthquake destroyed the store; I was divorced. In 1970 I moved to Yakima, Wa. I married Danny Stoner. I sold the home I had and moved to a new home about 1995. Orly and I lived here until his death in 1999. I am presently living (2000) in the same house.
