Died at 85 years. Attended school in Hancock, Michigan. Came to Spokane, Washington in 1910, then to Ephrata, Washington and then in 1916 to Palisades, Washington to farm. In 1954, because of Anna's bad health, they moved to East Wenatchee, Washington.

Jones and Jones Funeral Home took care of funeral arrangements; he was buried in Evergreen Memorial Park in East Wenatche. Simon Rohlman
Simon J. Rohlman, 85, a long-time resident of Douglas County, died in a local rest home Monday evening following an extended illness. Born in Hancock, Mi., April 27, 1879, Mr. Rohlman attended school there. On August 29, 1900, he married Anna Houseworth at Hancock. They came West to Spokane in 1910, later moving to Ephrata where they engaged in farming. In 1916 they settled in Palisades where they resided until moving to East Wenatchee in 1954.
Surviving are four sons: Harold Rohlman, Wenatchee, LeRoy and Floyd Rohlman, East Wenatchee, and Ed Rohlman, Seattle; six daughters: Mrs. Al Johnson, Ephrata, Mrs. Lorenca Fenton, Bremerton, Mrs. C. D. Bowers, Electric City, Mrs. Jess R. Bell, East Wenatchee, Mrs. Frank Bower, Seattle, and Mrs. Marie Stevens, Anchorage, Ak.; two sisters and a brother in Michigan, 19 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Mrs. Rohlman preceded him in death Jan. 7, 1960. Funeral services will be announced by the Jones and Jones Funeral Home.

Samuel worked for a brewery in Great Falls, Montana; he also worked in the coal mines in Montana; he'd driven an ice wagon in Spokane; in Mae Hiawatha near Moses Lake he worked on a ranch. In Palisades, he worked for others in the potatoes and apples. He raised hay for his own use. He had two plow horses. In those days you could be classified as a farmer even though you may work for a farmer.

He has sisters who were nuns.
