Personal Notes:
When Grandma D. became seriously ill, Grandma Nielsen came to Seattle to be with her. She wouldn't go to the hospital until she had her 4:00 tea. After the two had tea, they walked up the hill to the hospital. She died that evening about midnight, with Grandma Nielsen with her. Grandma N. was told by the doctor her that she should have died six years earlier. They felt she was waiting for son Ted to come home from the hospital. This kept her going. Somehow her aorta had moved around in front and was strangling her. Grandma D. was a devout Christian Scientist; this kept her from going to the doctor sooner.

Mildred Dalrymple, born May 8, 1873 in Wisconsin, died October 8, 1942 in Seattle General Hospital of a cerebral hemorage. She was employed by A. V. Hampson (her son-in-law). She was buried on October 10, by Home Undertaking at Acacia
