BIRTH/DEATH: Birth date of 22 Aug 1833, and death date and place are from a query from Elsi e Baye, posted by Pam Swiler (pkswiler@voyager.net). If John C. Dalrymple and Aaron M. Dalrym ple are brothers, the two birth dates are too close together. I'm assuming the month and da y are right, but the year is off so I moved the year to 1832. This would be consistent with t he censuses. Also his tombstone shows him age 40 yr 7 mo at death. This would also make him b orn in 1832. However, I don't know how the 7 months fits in.

BIRTH: 1850 Census shows him born New York, but 1860 and 1870 Census both show him born Ne w Jersey.

BURIAL: The North Plains Cemetery records show a burial for a J. C. Dalrymple, son of Eli, i n cemetery lot 126-8. See no record of a burial for his wife Lydia Dalrymple.

1850 CENSUS: See father's record for 1850 Michigan Census info. Name on that record is Joh n Dalrymple.

1860 CENSUS: There is an 1860 Michigan Census record in Ionia County, North Plains Township , for a John C. Dalrymple, age 27, male, farmer, value real estate $500, value personal estat e $125. Wife Lydia E. Dalrymple, age 20, female, born Michigan. Son Francis J. Dalrymple, ag e 4 months, male, born Michigan.
