1850 CENSUS: The 1850 Ionia Co., Michigan Census shows a Peter Delrimple, age 16, living in N orth Plains Twp with a Jerry Barber family. There is also a Sylvester Dalrymple, age 12, an d a Catharine Dalrymple, age 10, living with different families in North Plains Twp.

The internet uses a different numbering and gives page 159B in North Plains Township.

This Indenture made the tenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundre d and fifty four Between Calvin Crippen and Sarah Crippen his wife of the County of Ionia an d State of Michigan of the first part and Peter W. Dalrymple of the same place of the secon d part Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum o f three hundred and fifty Dollars to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part t he receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have granted bargained sold remised r eleased and by these presents do grant bargain sell remise? release and forever Quit Claim un to the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever. All of that certai n piece or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the Township of North Plains County of I onia and Sate of Michigan Known and described as follows to Wit: The North West quarter of th e North East quarter of Section No twenty Seven (27) in Township No Eight (8) North of Rang e No (5) West containing according to the Government Survey forty acres be the same more or l ess. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto Belonging o r in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents is sues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest claim or demand whatsoever o f the said party of the first part either in Law or Equity of in and to the above bargained p remises with the hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said premises to th e said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use benefi t in behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever Except the Cro ps which are now growing upon the premises, one Cook Stove, Timber for 400 Rails already cu t and partly Split: one black oak body cut, The Flower Roots and the use of house and Stabl e till Spring which the said party of the first part hereby reserves from said sale.
