Personal Notes:
Bruce moved to California as a young boy, and was raised by his mother, after his parents divorced. He didn't see his father again until he was twenty two. He served five years in the Navy from 1947 until 1951. He was in the operating engineers in the Navy. He was an excavating contractor for thirty one years in Ca. He retired in 1986, and went fulltime RVing for several years.

Bruce and Josie wintered many years in Baja Sur, Mexico, having a palapa at Playa Santispac near Mulege. At the time of his death they were living at Park of the Sierras, an Escape Coop park near Coarsegold, California. Bruce and Josie helped build the campground.

Bruce was diagnosed with Lymphoma in the lungs in October of 2002. He died at Kaiser Permanente in Fresno, California on January 17, 2003 at 11:30 p.m. A memorial service was held on January 23rd at the Catholic church in Oakhurst, Ca. and burial was Friday, the 24th at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery with full military honors. The cemetery is at
32053 W. McCabe Road, Gustine, California 95322. He is buried in Section 2, grave 542.
The exit for the cemetery is at Santa Nella by the Anderson's Pea Soup Restaurant.
