Scott had a brain tumor on the brain stem at age 10. He developed other tumors, because of the radiation used to fight the first one. He lost his fight at age 22, when he died at home from more brain tumors. He was cremated and his ashes were strewn from an airplane over Mt. Cashmere, near Wenatchee.

C. Scott Jeffries, 22, a lifelong East Wenatchee resident, went home to be with Jesus Sunday morning, April14, 1996, at home in East Wenatchee. He was born on Aug. 26, 1973, in Wenatchee to Darrel and Susan (Rohlman) Jeffries. He was raised in East Wenatchee and attended Cascade Elementary School as well as one year at Vale Elementary in Cashmere. He attended Sterling Middle School where he was involved with the Odyssey of the Mind Program. He attended Eastmont Junior High and Eastmont High School, graduating in 1992.
While in high school, he became active with extracurricular activities and fund-raisers in the school. He served as manager of the track team, was involved in drama, sang in the Eastmont High School Choir for two years and sang in the Eastmont Concert Choir. Following high school, he worked for the Eastmont School District as a substitute custodian. He most recently worked for the Buzz Inn in Wenatchee. For many years, he attended the First Church of God in East Wenatchee and was active in the youth groups. He had most recently attended the Wenatchee Free Methodist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Darrel and Sue Jeffries, East Wenatchee; one brother, Kevin M. Jeffries, East Wenatchee; grandparents, Leroy and Gertrude Rohlman, and John Jeffries all of East Wenatchee; one nephew, Mike Jeffries, East Wenatchee; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lloydene Jeffries, in 1992.
