Percy B. Gormley
Percy B. Gormley, 64, a lifetime Waterville resident, died at his home on Friday morning following a sudden illness.
Born in Waterville on April 9, 1912, he attended Waterville schools. During World War II he served in the Rhineland, Central Europe, Northern France and Normandy areas.
He married Hilda Dalrymple on July 17, 1948 at Coeur d' Alene, Idaho and they continued to make their home in Waterville. He was employed by the Waterville Transfer Company before his retirement in 1971. He was a life member of Waterville Post No. 6787, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of Wenatchee Elks Lodge No. 1186.
Surviving are his wife, at home; one step-son, Ted L. Dalrymple of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert(Margaret) Hosfeld of Wenatchee; a brother Herbert Gormley of Fairchild, Idaho; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Memorial services were held in the Fellowship Hall of the Waterville Federated Church Tursday afternoon with the Reverend Russel N. Rehm officiating. Memorials, for those who wished, were suggested to the Waterville Ambulance Fund.
Arrangements were by the Waterville Funeral Home.
