Out near the town of Verlot, on the Mountain Loop Highway, near Granite Falls and Mt. Pilchuck you will find the trail head for a nice little hike called Lake 22. This is a nice short hike to a pretty little lake, with minimal elevation gain. We went early on a brisk Fall Saturday morning, and were rewarded with only a minimum about of other hikers.
