There is the short way and the long way to get to Mirror and Cottonwood lakes at the summit of I-90. I chose the longer route from the PCT down to the lake. It required a drive of 3 or 4 miles up a forest service road to the trailhead, then a nice gradual, and at times down hill trail. The WTA trail guides you from a southerly, but shorter approach. Despite hiking here in July, there we still sections of the trail covered in snow. For WTA information on Cottonwood and Mirror Lake Trail, Click Here.
