On Day two we awoke to a beautiful sunny day. After a quick breakfast our trekking group made a light lunch, loaded up our packs and set off toward Álftavatn. Álftavatn is a beautiful lake about 8 miles from Hrafntinnusker. Not only is there a Hut to sleep in, but this particular area boast a small 8 seat Restaurant and Bar. After arriving we hiked to a peak next to the lake for an incredible view, came down for diner and enjoyed the bar, and a bon fire put on by the guides in honor of Commerce Day, similar to the US version of Labor Day.
