DR. Sampson & brother Thomas H. Knight co-authored a medical book: "Knight's Medical Adviser". Frances Hosier of Lebanon, TN has a copy of the book.
During an influenza epidemic in Pope Co., Arkansas, after visiting a patient he become ill and fell of his horse and later died.
