Laurie died of prostate cancer which went into the lymph nodes. He was buried Oct. 29, 1986 in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, East Wenatchee, Douglas, Wa. Laurie played baseball for the semi-pro team, the Wenatchee Chiefs.
